Game Review
Brentford delivered a commanding performance against West Ham United, securing a 3-0 victory at the Brentford Community Stadium in their Premier League clash. This result was somewhat unexpected given West Ham's recent form, but Brentford capitalized on their opportunities and executed their game plan effectively. The match began with Brentford taking the lead in the 15th minute through Konstantinos Mavropanos (GAP -1.0%), who found the back of the net to set the tone for the home side. Brentford maintained their momentum into the second half, with Igor Thiago doubling their advantage in the 54th minute. Mikkel Damsgaard (GAP +1.5%) sealed the victory with a goal in the 82nd minute, ensuring a comprehensive win for the hosts. Brentford's lineup remained unchanged from their previous match, indicating a stable selection strategy from the home team manager. This consistency paid off as players like Nathan Michael Collins (GAP +2.4%) and Kevin Schade (GAP +3.2%) contributed significantly to the team's solid defensive and offensive displays. West Ham United, on the other hand, also fielded an unchanged lineup. Despite the presence of key players like Jarrod Bowen (GAP +0.3%) and Tomáš Souček (GAP +1.2%), they struggled to break down Brentford's defense and lacked the cutting edge in the final third. Caoimhín Kelleher (GAP +2.7%) was instrumental in goal for Brentford, ensuring a clean sheet with several crucial saves. His performance, alongside the defensive efforts of Sepp van den Berg (GAP +1.8%), highlighted Brentford's resilience at the back. This victory propels Brentford further up the Premier League table, boosting their confidence as they aim to finish the season strongly. For West Ham, this defeat is a setback in their pursuit of a higher league position, and they will need to regroup quickly to regain their form in the remaining fixtures.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
