Game Review
In a thrilling Premier League encounter at the Brentford Community Stadium, Brentford and Everton played out a 2-2 draw. The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, with both teams exchanging blows in a game that could have gone either way. Brentford's Igor Thiago opened the scoring early in the 3rd minute, setting the tone for a high-energy match. Everton responded in the 26th minute through Beto (GAP +1.3%), who leveled the score, showcasing his clinical finishing ability. The second half saw Brentford regain the lead in the 76th minute, once again through Igor Thiago, who was undoubtedly the standout performer for the home side. However, Everton's resilience shone through as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (GAP +2.6%) netted a crucial equalizer in the 90th minute, ensuring the points were shared. Tactically, both teams made strategic changes to their lineups. Brentford's manager made two changes from their previous outing, bringing in Mikkel Damsgaard (GAP +1.3%) and Dango Ouattara, while Jordan Henderson and Ethan Pinnock were left out. Everton's head coach opted for a single change, introducing Jarrad Branthwaite (GAP +1.4%) in place of the suspended Michael Keane. The Game Advantage Percentage (GAP) highlighted several key performers, with Kevin Schade (GAP +4.0%) and Iliman Ndiaye (GAP +3.2%) making significant contributions for Brentford and Everton, respectively. Jordan Pickford (GAP +3.1%) was also instrumental for Everton, making crucial saves to keep his team in the match. This result leaves both teams reflecting on missed opportunities. Brentford, who have been inconsistent in recent weeks, will see this as a chance to build momentum as they aim to climb the table. Everton, on the other hand, will be pleased with their fighting spirit but will need to tighten their defense to secure more wins in their quest for a higher league position.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
