Game Review
In a commanding Serie A performance, Fiorentina dismantled Cremonese 4-1 on Monday, 16 March 2026. The result was largely expected given Fiorentina's superior form and league position, as they continue to push for a top-four finish. The match began with Fiorentina asserting their dominance early on. Fabiano Parisi (GAP +1.9%) opened the scoring in the 25th minute, setting the tone for the visitors. Just seven minutes later, Roberto Piccoli (GAP -0.5%) doubled their advantage, capitalizing on Cremonese's defensive lapses. Cremonese managed to pull one back through David Okereke, who came off the bench to score in the 57th minute, offering a glimmer of hope for the home side. However, Fiorentina quickly extinguished any comeback aspirations when Dodô (GAP +1.6%) restored their two-goal cushion in the 49th minute. Albert Guðmundsson (GAP +2.5%) sealed the victory with a well-taken goal in the 70th minute, showcasing Fiorentina's attacking prowess. Tactically, Fiorentina's manager made effective use of his substitutes, with Cher Ndour, Daniele Rugani, Giovanni Fabbian, Jack Harrison, and Jacopo Fazzini all entering the fray to maintain the team's intensity. Cremonese's manager also made several changes, introducing Filippo Terracciano, Jari Vandeputte, Alberto Grassi, and Alessio Zerbin, but these adjustments failed to turn the tide. The Game Advantage Percentage (GAP) statistics highlighted Robin Gosens (GAP +3.0%) and Luca Ranieri (GAP +2.1%) as key contributors to Fiorentina's solid defensive display, while Cremonese's Federico Bonazzoli (GAP -2.2%) struggled to make an impact. This result leaves Fiorentina in a strong position as they continue their pursuit of European qualification, while Cremonese remains in the lower half of the table, needing to regroup and find form to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
