Game Review
In a closely contested Serie A match, Bologna emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Sunday, 15 February 2026. This result was somewhat surprising given Torino's home advantage, but Bologna's recent form suggested they were capable of pulling off such a result. The game began with both teams showing intent, but it was Bologna who broke the deadlock early in the second half. Nikola Moro found the back of the net in the 49th minute, giving Bologna a crucial lead. Torino responded with vigor, and their efforts paid off when Nikola Vlašić equalized in the 62nd minute, setting up a tense final half-hour. However, Bologna regained their lead in the 70th minute through Santiago Castro, whose goal ultimately proved to be the winner. Torino pushed for another equalizer, but Bologna's defense held firm to secure all three points. In terms of tactical adjustments, Torino made five substitutions, bringing on Duván Zapata, Valentino Lazaro, Cesare Casadei, Emirhan İlkhan, and Alieu Njie in an attempt to change the game's dynamics. Bologna also utilized their bench effectively, with Riccardo Orsolini, Lewis Ferguson, Nadir Zortea, Benjamín Domínguez, and Jens Odgaard coming on to maintain their lead. The result leaves Torino in a challenging position as they look to improve their standing in the Serie A table. Bologna, on the other hand, will be buoyed by this victory as they continue to climb the league standings. This win could be pivotal for Bologna as they aim to secure a higher finish this season. Post-match reactions highlighted Bologna's resilience and tactical discipline, with the away team's head coach praising his players' ability to execute the game plan effectively. Torino will need to regroup quickly as they prepare for their next fixture, hoping to bounce back from this setback.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
