Game Review
In a tightly contested Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge, Manchester United edged out Chelsea with a narrow 1-0 victory, courtesy of a first-half goal by Matheus Cunha (GAP +2.3%). This result was somewhat unexpected given Chelsea's recent form, having secured three wins in their last five matches, while Manchester United had been inconsistent. The decisive moment came in the 43rd minute when Cunha capitalized on a defensive lapse to score the only goal of the match. Chelsea's defense, which included Marc Cucurella (GAP +4.5%) and Wesley Fofana (GAP +2.7%), was otherwise solid but failed to prevent Cunha's well-timed strike. Chelsea's manager made two changes to the lineup, introducing Liam Delap and Enzo Fernández, while João Pedro and Andrey Santos were left out. These changes were part of a tactical adjustment, although specific reasons for these exclusions were not publicly detailed. On the other hand, Manchester United's head coach opted for four changes, bringing in Diogo Dalot, Bryan Mbeumo, Kobbie Mainoo, and Ayden Heaven, with Lisandro Martínez and Amad Diallo among those missing out due to suspension and international duty, respectively. Key performances from Chelsea included Pedro Neto (GAP +4.8%) and Malo Gusto (GAP +4.3%), who were instrumental in both defense and attack, though they couldn't find the back of the net. For Manchester United, Casemiro (GAP +3.9%) and Bruno Fernandes (GAP +2.5%) controlled the midfield, providing stability and creativity. Post-match reactions highlighted the tactical discipline of Manchester United, with their defense, led by Luke Shaw (GAP +3.1%), effectively neutralizing Chelsea's attacking threats. The victory propels Manchester United further up the table, enhancing their prospects for European qualification, while Chelsea will need to regroup quickly to maintain their position in the top half. Overall, this match underscored the importance of clinical finishing and defensive resilience, with Manchester United executing their game plan to perfection.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
