Game Review
Manchester City edged past Leeds United with a narrow 1-0 victory at Elland Road in their Premier League clash on Saturday. The match was decided by a solitary goal from Antoine Semenyo (GAP +1.6%) just before halftime, which proved enough to secure all three points for the visitors. This result was largely expected, given Manchester City's superior form and league position. The game was tightly contested, with Leeds United putting up a resilient defensive display. However, it was Manchester City who managed to break the deadlock in the 45th minute. Semenyo capitalized on a well-orchestrated move to slot the ball past Leeds' goalkeeper Karl Darlow (GAP +0.1%), who had been solid throughout the match. In terms of tactical adjustments, Manchester City made one change to their lineup from their previous match, bringing in Rayan Cherki (GAP +0.9%) for Erling Haaland, who was a doubt due to a knee injury. This change did not seem to disrupt their attacking flow, as they maintained control for large portions of the game. Leeds United, on the other hand, fielded an unchanged starting eleven, sticking with the same lineup that had shown promise in recent fixtures. Defensively, Ruben Dias (GAP +9.3%) was a standout performer for Manchester City, anchoring the backline and ensuring that Leeds' attacking threats were kept at bay. Gianluigi Donnarumma (GAP +5.5%) also played a crucial role, making key saves to preserve the clean sheet. Post-match reactions highlighted the importance of this win for Manchester City as they continue to chase the league leaders. The victory keeps them firmly in the title race, while Leeds United will need to regroup as they aim to climb the table and secure a mid-table finish. Overall, this match underscored Manchester City's depth and tactical flexibility, while Leeds United will take heart from their competitive performance against one of the league's top sides.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
