Game Review
In a commanding Bundesliga performance, FC Bayern München dismantled Union Berlin with a 4-0 victory at home. This result was largely anticipated given Bayern's superior form and squad depth, and they delivered emphatically. The match began with Bayern asserting their dominance early on, and it was Michael Olise (GAP +8.2%) who opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Just before halftime, Serge Gnabry (GAP +4.4%) doubled the lead, giving Bayern a comfortable cushion going into the break. The second half saw Bayern continue their offensive onslaught. Harry Kane (GAP +10.5%) added to the scoreline in the 49th minute, showcasing his clinical finishing ability. Gnabry completed his brace in the 67th minute, further solidifying Bayern's control over the match. Tactically, Bayern's midfield, orchestrated by Joshua Kimmich (GAP +9.9%), was pivotal in maintaining possession and dictating the pace of the game. The defensive solidity provided by Dayot Upamecano (GAP +7.8%) ensured that Union Berlin's attacking threats were nullified throughout the match. Union Berlin struggled to cope with Bayern's relentless pressure, and their defensive frailties were exposed repeatedly. Despite making several substitutions, including the introduction of Tom Rothe and Josip Juranović, they failed to make any significant impact on the game. Bayern's manager made strategic substitutions, bringing on Tom Bischof, Hiroki Ito, and Raphael Guerreiro to maintain the team's intensity and manage player fatigue. This victory strengthens Bayern's position at the top of the Bundesliga table, extending their lead and boosting their confidence as they continue their title charge. For Union Berlin, this defeat highlights the challenges they face in competing against the league's top teams, and they will need to regroup quickly to improve their standing in the league. Post-match reactions praised Bayern's attacking prowess and the seamless integration of their new signings, with fans and pundits alike acknowledging the team's depth and tactical flexibility.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
