Preview for the game St. Pauli vs Eintracht Frankfurt
St. Pauli come into this Bundesliga Gameweek 25 clash with slightly stronger recent league form than Eintracht Frankfurt, taking 9 points from their last five matches thanks to three wins and two defeats. Frankfurt have collected 7 points over the same span, mixing two wins, one draw and two losses. The recent head-to-head record, however, leans clearly towards Eintracht: they won 2-0 at home in October 2025 and 1-0 in Hamburg in January 2025, with St. Pauli’s only point in this run coming in a 2-2 draw in May 2025. Our Plus Minus model still rates the visitors as favourites, giving Frankfurt a 41% chance of an away win, compared to 29% for a St. Pauli home victory and 30% for the draw. St. Pauli’s expected XI again leans on the midfield work-rate of Jackson Irvine (GAP +1.2%) and the distribution of Eric Smith (GAP -1.6%), with Nikola Vasilj (GAP -0.2%) behind a back line featuring Karol Mets and James Sands. Their task will be to control central areas against a Frankfurt side built around the ball-winning and progression of Hugo Larsson (GAP +2.3%) and the creativity of Mario Götze (GAP +0.4%). At the back, Robin Koch (GAP +4.0%) anchors a defence that has already kept St. Pauli out twice in three recent meetings, while Rasmus Kristensen (GAP +4.0%) offers an aggressive outlet on the flank if fit enough to feature. Injuries and availability Eintracht Frankfurt are dealing with several notable absences. Michy Batshuayi is sidelined with a suspected metatarsal fracture and is expected to be out for around two months and three weeks. Rasmus Kristensen, listed with an injury and due back in roughly two weeks and three days, is a doubt here despite being in the projected lineup. Ansgar Knauff is also injured with a similar two-week timeframe, while Arthur Theate is recovering from a knee injury and is not expected back for about two weeks and six days. Goalkeeper Kauã Santos, who has been out with a knee ligament issue, is nearing a return in around two days, putting him close to contention. Can Uzun and Younes Ebnoutalib are both in build-up training, with expected returns in just over a month. For St. Pauli, Ricky-Jade Jones is out for about a month, Simon Spari faces a long spell on the sidelines with a syndesmosis tear (around three months and four days), and Andréas Hountondji remains in build-up training after an ankle hairline fracture, with a return projected in just over two months.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
