Game Review
Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Everton in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium, with late goals from substitutes Viktor Gyökeres and Max Dowman sealing the win. The match was a tightly contested affair until the final minutes, reflecting Arsenal's recent form of resilience and tactical discipline. The game remained goalless until the 89th minute when Viktor Gyökeres (GAP +5.3%) broke the deadlock, capitalizing on a lapse in Everton's defense. Just a minute later, Max Dowman added a second, ensuring all three points for the home side. This result was largely expected given Arsenal's superior form and league position compared to Everton. Arsenal's manager made four changes to the lineup, bringing in Kai Havertz (GAP +4.0%), Noni Madueke (GAP +1.4%), William Saliba (GAP +7.7%), and Riccardo Calafiori. These changes were part of a strategic rotation, with Gabriel Martinelli, Viktor Gyökeres, Piero Hincapié, and Cristhian Mosquera making way. On the other hand, Everton's head coach made two changes, introducing Michael Keane and Tim Iroegbunam, while James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite were left out. Defensively, Arsenal was solid, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães (GAP +7.1%) forming a formidable partnership at the back. David Raya (GAP +5.3%) was also instrumental in goal, making crucial saves to maintain the clean sheet. Bukayo Saka (GAP +5.4%) was a constant threat on the wing, contributing significantly to Arsenal's attacking play. For Everton, Jordan Pickford (GAP +2.4%) was kept busy throughout the match, making several important saves to keep his team in the game until the late goals. However, the Toffees struggled to create clear-cut chances, with Dwight McNeil (GAP +1.1%) and James Garner (GAP +1.6%) unable to break down Arsenal's organized defense. This victory strengthens Arsenal's position in the league, keeping them in the hunt for a top-four finish. Meanwhile, Everton will need to regroup and address their attacking inefficiencies as they look to climb up the table in the remaining fixtures.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
