Game Review
In a tightly contested Serie A clash, AC Milan emerged victorious over Inter Milan with a narrow 1-0 win at the San Siro. The match, part of Gameweek 28, saw AC Milan secure all three points thanks to a solitary goal from Pervis Estupiñán (GAP +3.9%) in the 35th minute. This result was somewhat unexpected given Inter Milan's recent form, but AC Milan's resilience and tactical discipline shone through. The decisive moment came when Estupiñán found the back of the net, capitalizing on a well-executed set-piece. Despite Inter Milan's efforts to equalize, they were unable to break down a well-organized AC Milan defense, marshaled effectively by Fikayo Tomori (GAP +4.7%). Tactically, AC Milan's manager opted for a stable lineup with no changes from their previous match, indicating confidence in his squad's ability to handle the derby pressure. On the other hand, Inter Milan made a single substitution, bringing on Petar Sučić in an attempt to inject fresh energy into their attack. Key performances included Mike Maignan (GAP +4.5%), who was instrumental in maintaining the clean sheet with several crucial saves. For Inter Milan, Yann Sommer (GAP +6.5%) stood out despite the defeat, making several key stops to keep his team in the game. This victory propels AC Milan further up the Serie A table, enhancing their chances of securing a European spot. Meanwhile, Inter Milan will need to regroup and address their attacking inefficiencies if they are to maintain their position in the top four. Post-match reactions highlighted the tactical battle between the two sides, with AC Milan's defensive solidity being a focal point of praise. The result adds an intriguing twist to the Serie A title race, with both teams still in contention for top honors.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
