Game Review
In a tightly contested Serie A encounter, Juventus secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Lecce, thanks to an early goal by Dušan Vlahović (GAP +2.9%). The match, held on Saturday, 9 May 2026, saw Juventus maintain their push for a strong finish in the league, while Lecce struggled to find a breakthrough against a disciplined Juventus defense. The game started with a bang as Vlahović found the back of the net in the first minute, setting the tone for a match where Juventus would largely control proceedings. Despite Lecce's efforts to respond, they were unable to breach the Juventus defense, which was marshaled effectively by Bremer (GAP +5.8%) and Lloyd Kelly (GAP +3.5%). Juventus made five substitutions during the match, bringing on Federico Gatti, Emil Holm, Jonathan David, Edon Zhegrova, and Jeremie Boga. These changes were likely tactical, aimed at maintaining their slender lead and adding fresh legs to the squad. Lecce, on the other hand, introduced Konan N’Dri, Francesco Camarda, Þórir Jóhann Helgason, and Gaby Jean in an attempt to inject some energy and creativity into their play. The Game Advantage Percentage (GAP) statistics highlighted the defensive solidity of Juventus, with Bremer and Kelly standing out. Michele Gregorio (GAP +4.7%) also played a crucial role in maintaining the team's structure and composure under pressure. This result leaves Juventus in a strong position as they continue their pursuit of a top-four finish. For Lecce, the defeat means they must regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the table as the season draws to a close. Post-match reactions from the Juventus camp praised the team's resilience and ability to hold onto their early lead. The Lecce manager, while disappointed with the result, acknowledged the quality of the opposition and the need for his team to capitalize on their chances in future matches.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
