Game Review
In a thrilling Serie A encounter, Roma edged out Parma with a 3-2 victory at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. The match, part of Gameweek 36, saw Roma secure a dramatic win with two late goals, maintaining their push for a strong finish in the league. The game began with Roma taking the lead in the 22nd minute through Donyell Malen, who showcased his clinical finishing ability. Parma responded after the break with Gabriel Espeto leveling the score in the 47th minute. However, Espeto's joy was short-lived as he received a yellow card just a minute later. As the match progressed, Parma's Mandela Keita brought the home side back into contention with an 87th-minute goal, making it 2-2. The game seemed destined for a draw until the final moments when Roma's Donyell Malen struck again in the 90th minute, followed by a decisive goal from substitute Devyne Rensch, sealing a 3-2 victory for the visitors. A significant turning point was the red card shown to Parma's Sascha Britschgi in the 90th minute, which left the home side vulnerable in the dying moments of the match. Roma's head coach made strategic substitutions, bringing on Devyne Rensch, who proved pivotal with his late goal. The away team made five changes, including Neil El Aynaoui and Daniele Ghilardi, which added fresh legs and tactical flexibility. For Parma, the introduction of substitutes like Mateo Pellegrino and Nahuell Estévez aimed to bolster their attacking options, but ultimately, they couldn't withstand Roma's late surge. This result leaves Roma in a strong position as they continue to fight for a top-four finish, while Parma, despite a spirited performance, remain in the lower half of the table, needing to regroup for their remaining fixtures. Post-match reactions highlighted the resilience of Roma, with fans and pundits praising Malen's decisive contributions. The result underscores Roma's ability to perform under pressure, a trait that could prove crucial in the final stages of the season.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
