Game Review
In a surprising turn of events in Serie A, Como secured a 2-1 victory over Roma on Sunday, 15 March 2026. This result was unexpected, given Roma's stature and recent form, but Como's resilience and tactical adjustments paid off handsomely. The match began with Roma taking an early lead through Donyell Malen (GAP -2.6%), who found the back of the net in the 7th minute. This early goal set the tone for what seemed to be a dominant display by the visitors. However, the game took a dramatic turn in the second half. Como equalized in the 59th minute with a goal from Tasos Douvikas, who came off the bench to make an immediate impact. The momentum shifted further in Como's favor when Roma's Wesley França (GAP +3.9%) received a red card in the 64th minute, leaving his team with ten men. This disciplinary setback for Roma allowed Como to capitalize on their numerical advantage. Diego Carlos (GAP +2.8%) scored the decisive goal for Como in the 79th minute, sealing a memorable victory for the home side. His performance, alongside Jean Butez (GAP +4.4%) in goal, was instrumental in Como's defensive solidity and eventual triumph. Tactically, Como's manager made effective use of substitutions, bringing in players like Tasos Douvikas and Maximo Perrone to inject energy and creativity into the team. Roma, on the other hand, struggled to adapt after the red card, and their inability to maintain control in midfield was evident. This win is a significant boost for Como, who have been striving to climb the Serie A table. For Roma, this defeat is a setback in their pursuit of a top-four finish, highlighting the need for improved discipline and tactical flexibility in future matches.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
