Game Review
Fiorentina secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Como in their Serie A clash on Saturday, 14 February 2026. The match, held as part of Gameweek 25, saw Fiorentina edge past their hosts in a game that was tightly contested until the final whistle. Fiorentina took the lead in the 26th minute through Nicolò Fagioli (GAP -0.8%), who capitalized on a defensive lapse to put the visitors ahead. The first half was largely controlled by Fiorentina, who managed to keep Como at bay with a disciplined defensive setup. The second half saw Fiorentina double their advantage in the 54th minute when Moise Kean (GAP +1.1%) found the back of the net, further asserting their dominance. However, Como responded in the 77th minute with a goal from Fabiano Parisi (GAP +1.9%), setting up a tense finish. A significant turning point came late in the game when Álvaro Morata, who had come on as a substitute for Como, received a red card in the 89th minute following two quick yellow cards. This left Como with ten men and hampered their efforts to find an equalizer. In terms of lineup changes, Como's manager made several substitutions, including the introduction of Maxence Caqueret, Álvaro Morata, Jayden Addai, Jesús Rodríguez, and Alberto Moreno Perez. Fiorentina's head coach also made tactical adjustments, bringing on Roberto Piccoli and Cher Ndour to maintain their lead. The Game Advantage Percentage (GAP) data highlighted some standout performances, particularly from Jean Butez (GAP +3.7%) in goal for Como, who made several crucial saves to keep his team in the match. Meanwhile, Jacobo Ramón (GAP +4.3%) was a key figure for Como, providing energy and creativity in midfield. This result sees Fiorentina continue their push up the Serie A table, building on their recent form. Como, on the other hand, will need to regroup and address their defensive frailties as they look to improve their standings in the league. Post-match reactions from both camps emphasized the competitive nature of the game, with Fiorentina's players expressing satisfaction with their resilience and ability to secure all three points away from home.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
