Game Review
In a Premier League clash at Turf Moor, Burnley and Bournemouth played out a goalless draw, a result that might not have surprised many given both teams' recent form and league positions. Burnley, making four changes to their lineup, introduced James Ward-Prowse (GAP -1.3%), Josh Laurent (GAP -3.4%), Zian Flemming (GAP +0.3%), and Quilindschy Hartman (GAP -2.1%) into the starting eleven, while Bournemouth made two changes, bringing in Adam Smith (GAP +0.6%) and Eli Junior Kroupi (GAP +1.1%). The match itself was a tactical battle with neither side able to break the deadlock. Despite the lack of goals, there were notable performances, particularly from Bournemouth's Đorđe Petrović (GAP +1.8%), who was solid in goal, ensuring Burnley couldn't capitalize on their home advantage. On the other side, Ryan Christie (GAP +1.8%) was instrumental in Bournemouth's midfield, helping to control the tempo and disrupt Burnley's attacking efforts. Burnley's manager opted for a more conservative approach, likely influenced by the absence of key players due to injuries, such as Connor Roberts and Jordan Beyer. Bournemouth, dealing with their own injury woes, including the absence of Justin Kluivert and Ben Doak, managed to hold firm defensively. The result leaves both teams in a precarious position as they continue to hover around the mid-table. Burnley will be looking to convert more of their home games into wins to climb the table, while Bournemouth will be satisfied with a point away from home, especially given their injury list. Post-match reactions highlighted the defensive solidity of both teams, with Burnley's manager praising the resilience shown by his side despite the lack of goals. Bournemouth's head coach expressed satisfaction with the draw, emphasizing the importance of maintaining their unbeaten run. As the Premier League season progresses, both teams will need to find more attacking impetus if they are to secure a higher league finish.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
