Game Review
In a tightly contested Premier League match at Craven Cottage, West Ham United edged past Fulham with a narrow 1-0 victory, thanks to a solitary goal from Crysencio Summerville (GAP -1.9%) in the 65th minute. The result was somewhat expected given West Ham's recent form, as they came into the game with a series of strong performances. The match was a tactical battle, with both teams making strategic lineup changes. Fulham's manager made four changes, bringing in Tom Cairney (GAP -6.5%), Antonee Robinson (GAP -0.0%), Samuel Chukwueze (GAP -1.3%), and Joshua King, while Ryan Sessegnon, Harry Wilson, Emil Smith Rowe, and Oscar Bobb were left out. These changes were partly due to injuries and fitness concerns, as confirmed by pre-match reports. West Ham United's head coach opted for two changes, introducing Callum Wilson (GAP -0.4%) and Jean-Clair Todibo (GAP +0.9%), with Konstantinos Mavropanos and Soungoutou Magassa making way. The game's decisive moment came when Summerville capitalized on a defensive lapse to score the only goal, which was enough to secure all three points for the visitors. Fulham's attempts to equalize were thwarted by a solid defensive display from West Ham, with Axel Disasi (GAP +1.5%) and Tomáš Souček (GAP +0.7%) particularly impressive in maintaining their shape and composure under pressure. Despite Fulham's efforts, they struggled to create clear-cut chances, with their key players like Raúl Jiménez (GAP +0.2%) and Sander Berge (GAP +1.4%) unable to break through West Ham's disciplined defense. Bernd Leno (GAP +0.9%) in goal for Fulham made several crucial saves to keep his team in the game, but ultimately, it was not enough. This victory sees West Ham United continue their push up the Premier League table, building momentum as they aim for a strong finish to the season. For Fulham, the defeat is a setback, and they will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the standings. The result highlights the competitive nature of the league, where even small margins can make a significant difference.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
