Game Review
In a tightly contested Premier League encounter at the London Stadium, West Ham United and Bournemouth played out a goalless draw. Both teams struggled to break down each other's defenses, resulting in a stalemate that reflected their recent form and league positions. West Ham United, coming into the match with a single change from their previous lineup, introduced Soungoutou Magassa in place of the suspended Freddie Potts. Bournemouth made two adjustments, bringing in Tyler Adams (GAP +0.5%) and Eli Junior Kroupi (GAP +1.4%), while Ryan Christie and Alex Tóth were left out. These changes were part of a tactical shuffle by the respective managers, aiming to find the right balance in a match that promised to be closely fought. The game itself saw few clear-cut chances, with both defenses holding firm. Taty Castellanos (GAP +5.5%) was a standout performer for West Ham, consistently posing a threat to the Bournemouth backline. However, his efforts were matched by Bournemouth's Đorđe Petrović (GAP +1.4%), who was solid between the posts, ensuring his team left London with a valuable point. Despite the lack of goals, the match was not without its moments of tension. The midfield battle was intense, with Tomáš Souček (GAP +0.9%) and Marcos Senesi (GAP +0.1%) both playing pivotal roles in disrupting the opposition's play. However, neither side could find the decisive breakthrough, leaving the game to end as it began. This result leaves West Ham United in a mid-table position, continuing their run of inconsistent form. Bournemouth, meanwhile, will be satisfied with the point, as it helps them maintain a buffer above the relegation zone. Both teams will need to find more attacking impetus in their upcoming fixtures to climb the table and achieve their respective season objectives.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
