Game Review
Fulham secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in their Premier League clash on Sunday. This result was largely expected given Fulham's superior form and league position compared to Sunderland. The match saw Fulham dominate proceedings, with Raúl Jiménez (GAP -0.4%) playing a pivotal role by scoring twice in the second half. The game began with both teams testing each other's defenses, but it was Fulham who broke the deadlock in the 54th minute through Raúl Jiménez. His second goal came just seven minutes later, putting Fulham firmly in control. Sunderland managed to pull one back in the 76th minute with a goal from Enzo Le Fée (GAP -0.2%), but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Alex Iwobi (GAP -0.2%) sealed the win for Fulham with a late goal in the 85th minute. Tactically, Fulham's manager made one change to the lineup, bringing in Kevin for Samuel Chukwueze, who was unavailable due to international duty. Sunderland also made a single change, with Jocelin Ta Bi coming in for Reinildo Mandava. The absence of key players due to international commitments and injuries seemed to affect Sunderland more, as they struggled to contain Fulham's attacking prowess. Nordi Mukiele (GAP +2.3%) was a standout performer for Sunderland despite the loss, showing resilience in defense. For Fulham, Harry Wilson (GAP +1.1%) and Kenny Tete (GAP +1.0%) were instrumental in maintaining pressure and creating opportunities. This victory strengthens Fulham's position in the league, as they continue to push for a European spot. Sunderland, on the other hand, will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the table. The result highlights the contrasting fortunes of the two clubs, with Fulham's tactical discipline and squad depth proving decisive.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
