Game Review
In a surprising turn of events, Como secured a 2-0 victory over Juventus in their Serie A clash on Saturday, 21 February 2026. This result defied pre-match expectations, as Juventus were considered favorites given their stature and home advantage. However, Como's disciplined performance and strategic execution saw them claim all three points. The match began with Como taking an early lead in the 11th minute through Mërgim Vojvoda (GAP +1.3%), who capitalized on a defensive lapse from Juventus. This early goal set the tone for the match, with Juventus struggling to break down a well-organized Como defense. Despite having a talented lineup featuring players like Manuel Locatelli (GAP +2.1%) and Loïs Openda (GAP +3.2%), Juventus failed to convert their possession into meaningful chances. Como extended their lead in the 61st minute when Maxence Caqueret (GAP +1.9%) found the back of the net, effectively sealing the victory. Juventus made several substitutions in an attempt to change the game's dynamics, bringing on Jonathan David, Jeremie Boga, Filip Kostic, Francisco Conceição, and Vasilije Adžić. However, these changes did not yield the desired impact. From a tactical perspective, Como's manager made no changes to the starting lineup compared to their previous match, indicating a settled and confident squad. In contrast, Juventus also fielded the same starting eleven, suggesting a belief in their existing setup despite the disappointing outcome. Jean Butez (GAP +4.5%) was instrumental in Como's victory, delivering a standout performance in goal that frustrated Juventus' attacking efforts. His contributions, alongside the defensive solidity provided by Marc-Oliver Kempf (GAP +3.5%), were crucial in maintaining the clean sheet. This defeat leaves Juventus in a precarious position as they aim to secure a top-four finish. The loss could impact their momentum, especially as they face tougher fixtures ahead. For Como, this victory is a significant boost, potentially lifting them away from the lower end of the table and providing a morale boost for the squad. Post-match reactions highlighted the resilience and tactical discipline of Como, with fans and pundits praising their ability to execute a well-thought-out game plan against a traditionally stronger opponent.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
