Game Review
In a crucial La Liga encounter, Rayo Vallecano secured a 2-0 victory over Getafe, a result that was somewhat expected given Rayo's recent form and Getafe's struggles. The match, part of Gameweek 34, saw Rayo Vallecano capitalize on their opportunities, with goals from Sergio Camello (GAP -1.9%) in the 38th minute and substitute Randy Nteka in the 73rd minute sealing the win. The game started with both teams trying to assert control, but it was Rayo Vallecano who broke the deadlock. Sergio Camello's goal came from a well-executed team move, showcasing Rayo's attacking prowess. Getafe struggled to respond effectively, despite the efforts of Martín Satriano (GAP +4.2%), who was one of their more active players on the pitch. Rayo Vallecano's tactical setup allowed them to absorb pressure and strike on the counter, a strategy that paid dividends when Randy Nteka, who came on as a substitute, doubled their lead. This goal effectively ended Getafe's hopes of a comeback. In terms of lineup changes, Getafe made several substitutions, bringing in Álex Sancris, Javi Muñoz, Borja Mayoral, Diego Rico, and Abu Kamara, but these changes did not alter the course of the match. Rayo Vallecano also made tactical adjustments, with Óscar Valentín, Pep Chavarría, Unai Lopez, Randy Nteka, and Andrei Rațiu coming off the bench to maintain their team's momentum. The Game Advantage Percentage (GAP) data highlighted some key performances, notably Luis Vázquez (GAP +4.5%) for Getafe, who was involved in several attacking plays, although ultimately unable to break through Rayo's defense. This victory strengthens Rayo Vallecano's position in the league, keeping them in contention for a higher finish as the season nears its conclusion. For Getafe, the defeat is a setback, leaving them with work to do to improve their standing in the remaining matches. Post-match reactions from the Rayo Vallecano camp were positive, with players and staff expressing satisfaction with the team's disciplined performance and ability to execute their game plan effectively.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
