Game Review
In a tightly contested La Liga encounter, Osasuna emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo at Balaídos. This result was somewhat unexpected given Celta Vigo's home advantage, but Osasuna's tactical discipline and clinical finishing made the difference. The match began with both teams probing for weaknesses, but it was Osasuna who struck first. Ante Budimir (GAP +2.3%) opened the scoring in the 35th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Celta Vigo. The home side responded after the break, with Borja Iglesias (GAP -0.2%) leveling the score in the 53rd minute, showcasing his poacher's instinct. However, Osasuna regained the lead in the 79th minute through Raúl García, who finished a well-worked team move. This goal proved decisive as Celta Vigo struggled to break down a resolute Osasuna defense for the remainder of the match. Tactically, Osasuna's manager made no changes to the starting lineup from their previous game, maintaining a consistent approach that paid dividends. Celta Vigo, on the other hand, also fielded an unchanged lineup, but their inability to adapt tactically during the game was evident. Key performances included Javi Galán (GAP +3.3%), who was instrumental in Osasuna's defensive solidity, and Ruben Garcia (GAP +2.7%), whose creativity in midfield helped orchestrate Osasuna's attacking plays. This victory propels Osasuna further up the La Liga table, boosting their confidence as they continue to push for a higher finish. For Celta Vigo, this defeat is a setback, and they will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the standings. The result highlights the competitive nature of La Liga, where even home advantage cannot guarantee success.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
