Game Review
Sunderland delivered a commanding performance at the Stadium of Light, securing a 3-0 victory over Burnley in their Premier League clash. This result was somewhat unexpected given Burnley's recent form, but Sunderland capitalized on their home advantage to claim all three points. The match began with Sunderland asserting their dominance early on. Axel Tuanzebe (GAP -2.5%) opened the scoring in the 9th minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Sunderland continued to press, and their efforts were rewarded in the 32nd minute when Habib Diarra found the back of the net, doubling their lead. The home side maintained control throughout the match, and Chemsdine Talbi (GAP +1.5%) sealed the victory with a goal in the 72nd minute. Tactically, Sunderland's manager made two changes to the starting lineup compared to their previous match, bringing in Habib Diarra and Chemsdine Talbi, while Romaine Mundle and Eliezer Mayenda were left out. These changes paid dividends as both Diarra and Talbi were instrumental in the victory. Burnley, on the other hand, made a single change, with Lyle Foster (GAP -1.9%) coming into the lineup in place of Armando Broja. Key performances from Sunderland's players were evident, with Brian Brobbey (GAP -2.3%) and Enzo Le Fée (GAP -0.1%) controlling the midfield effectively, while Noah Sadiki (GAP +1.1%) provided defensive solidity. Burnley's efforts were stifled by Sunderland's organized defense, and despite the presence of experienced players like Kyle Walker (GAP -0.3%), they struggled to create clear-cut chances. This victory is a significant boost for Sunderland as they look to climb the Premier League table. For Burnley, the defeat is a setback, and they will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the standings. The result highlights Sunderland's potential to challenge higher up the table if they can maintain this level of performance.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
