Game Review
In a tightly contested Serie A encounter, Cagliari edged past Cremonese with a narrow 1-0 victory, thanks to a decisive goal from Sebastiano Esposito (GAP -0.4%) in the 63rd minute. This result was somewhat anticipated given Cagliari's home advantage and their recent form, although both teams have been struggling in the lower half of the table. The match was characterized by a cautious approach from both sides, with neither team willing to take excessive risks. The first half saw limited opportunities, as both defenses held firm. However, the game opened up in the second half, leading to Esposito's crucial strike, which ultimately separated the two sides. Cagliari's manager made strategic substitutions, bringing on Ndary Adopo, Andrea Belotti, Zé Pedro, and Alberto Dossena to inject fresh energy into the team. These changes were pivotal in maintaining their slender lead. On the other hand, Cremonese's head coach also utilized his bench, introducing Alessio Zerbin, Martín Payero, Milan Đurić, Tommaso Barbieri, and Antonio Sanabria in an attempt to alter the game's dynamics. From a tactical standpoint, Cagliari's defense, marshaled by Yerry Mina (GAP -0.2%), was resolute, effectively neutralizing Cremonese's attacking threats. Meanwhile, Elia Caprile (GAP +0.7%) in goal provided a solid last line of defense, ensuring a clean sheet. The Game Advantage Percentage (GAP) statistics highlighted some key performances, with Filippo Terracciano (GAP +1.2%) standing out for Cremonese despite the defeat. His efforts in midfield were crucial in keeping the visitors competitive throughout the match. This victory is a significant boost for Cagliari as they look to climb the Serie A standings, while Cremonese will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the table. Both teams will be keen to improve their form as the season approaches its climax.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
