Game Review
In a Serie A clash on Friday, Udinese secured a 2-0 victory over Genoa, a result that might have surprised some given the teams' recent form. Udinese, who have been inconsistent this season, managed to pull off a disciplined performance away from home, capitalizing on key moments to seal the win. The game remained goalless until the 66th minute when Jurgen Ekkelenkamp (GAP +1.0%) broke the deadlock for Udinese. His goal shifted the momentum firmly in favor of the visitors. Genoa struggled to respond effectively, and their efforts were further thwarted when Keinan Davis (GAP +0.9%) doubled Udinese's lead in the 90th minute, ensuring all three points for the away side. Tactically, Udinese's manager made no changes to the starting lineup compared to their previous match, indicating confidence in his squad's ability to execute the game plan. Genoa, on the other hand, also fielded an unchanged lineup, suggesting a belief in their existing setup despite the eventual outcome. Key performances came from Udinese's Christian Kabasele (GAP +0.6%) and Nicolò Zaniolo (GAP +0.9%), who were instrumental in maintaining defensive solidity and creating offensive opportunities. Genoa's Alessandro Marcandalli (GAP +1.9%) was a standout in defense, but his efforts were not enough to prevent the defeat. This result sees Udinese gaining crucial points as they look to climb the Serie A table, while Genoa will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the standings. The win could serve as a catalyst for Udinese to build momentum in the final stretch of the season.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
