Game Review
In a surprising turn of events in Serie A, Como secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Lazio on Monday, 19 January 2026. The match, held as part of Gameweek 21, saw Como dominate from the outset, defying pre-match expectations that favored Lazio, who were playing at home. The game started with an early goal from Martin Baturina, who found the net in just the 2nd minute, setting the tone for Como's aggressive approach. Nico Paz was the standout performer, scoring twice for Como, first in the 24th minute and then again shortly after the break in the 49th minute. His brace effectively sealed the game, leaving Lazio with little room to maneuver. Lazio's lineup saw several substitutions as the game progressed, with Nicolò Rovella, Manuel Lazzari, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Gustav Isaksen, and Tijjani Noslin all coming off the bench. However, these changes did little to alter the course of the match. Como, on the other hand, introduced Sergi Roberto, Mërgim Vojvoda, Tasos Douvikas, Stefan Posch, and Nicolas Kühn, maintaining their momentum and control. Tactically, Como's approach was effective in stifling Lazio's attempts to build any meaningful attacks. The away team's defensive organization and quick transitions were key to their success, with Paz's clinical finishing proving decisive. This result has significant implications for both teams. For Lazio, the defeat is a setback in their pursuit of higher league positions, while Como's victory could serve as a catalyst for improved form in the coming weeks. The win not only boosts Como's confidence but also highlights their potential to challenge more established teams in Serie A. Post-match reactions highlighted Como's tactical discipline and the effectiveness of their counter-attacking strategy. The result will undoubtedly prompt Lazio to reassess their approach as they look to bounce back in their next fixture.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
