Game Review
In a tightly contested La Liga encounter, Sevilla and Deportivo Alavés played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday, 14 February 2026. The match, held at Sevilla's home ground, saw both teams share the spoils in a game that was marked by significant disciplinary issues for the hosts. Sevilla took the lead in the 42nd minute through Djibril Sow (GAP -2.6%), who capitalized on a defensive lapse to put his team ahead. However, the lead was short-lived as Deportivo Alavés responded in the 60th minute with a goal from Toni Martínez (GAP -1.6%), leveling the score and ultimately securing a point for the visitors. The match was marred by a series of red cards for Sevilla, starting with Juanlu (GAP -1.5%), who was sent off in the 16th minute after receiving two quick yellow cards. This early dismissal put Sevilla on the back foot, forcing them to adjust their tactics and play more defensively. The situation worsened for Sevilla late in the game when Carles Aleñá (GAP -3.0%) and Joan Jordán were both shown red cards, reducing the team to eight men by the final whistle. From a tactical standpoint, Sevilla's manager made several changes throughout the match, bringing in José Ángel Carmona, Isaac Romero, Batista Mendy, Federico Gattoni, Chidera Ejuke, and Peque as substitutes. These changes were likely aimed at shoring up the defense and maintaining the team's shape after going down to ten men early on. Deportivo Alavés, managed to maintain their composure and capitalize on their numerical advantage, but were unable to find a winner despite the extra space on the pitch. The away team's head coach made strategic substitutions, introducing Ander Guevara, Jon Guridi, and Pablo Ibáñez to inject fresh energy into the side. This result leaves Sevilla in a precarious position, as they continue to struggle with consistency in their recent form. For Deportivo Alavés, the draw is a valuable point in their quest to climb the La Liga table, showcasing their resilience and ability to compete against tough opposition. Overall, the match highlighted Sevilla's disciplinary issues and Alavés' ability to exploit opportunities, setting the stage for an intriguing remainder of the season for both clubs.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
