Game Review
In a tightly contested La Liga encounter, Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano played out a 1-1 draw at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on Sunday. The result, while perhaps not surprising given the evenly matched nature of the two sides, leaves both teams reflecting on missed opportunities to climb the league table. The match began with Sevilla taking an early lead through Akor Adams, who found the back of the net in the 13th minute. This early goal set the tone for a first half where Sevilla looked the more threatening side, pressing Rayo Vallecano and creating several chances. However, the visitors managed to hold firm and went into the break just a goal down. Rayo Vallecano responded strongly in the second half, equalizing in the 50th minute through Alfonso Espino. His goal was a testament to Rayo's resilience and ability to capitalize on their chances. The game remained competitive, with both teams pushing for a winner but ultimately settling for a share of the spoils. In terms of tactical adjustments, Sevilla made four substitutions, bringing on Chidera Ejuke, José Ángel Carmona, Batista Mendy, and Isaac Romero to inject fresh energy into the side. Rayo Vallecano also utilized their bench, introducing Alvaro Garcia, Ilias Akhomach, Pedro Díaz, Alemão, and Unai Lopez in an attempt to turn the tide in their favor. The draw leaves Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano in mid-table positions, with both teams needing to find consistency in their performances to challenge for higher spots. Sevilla, having shown promise in recent matches, will be looking to build on this result, while Rayo Vallecano will aim to convert their fighting spirit into more victories. Post-match reactions highlighted the competitive nature of the game, with both managers expressing satisfaction with their teams' efforts but acknowledging the need for improvement in finishing chances. As the season progresses, both teams will be keen to capitalize on their potential and climb the La Liga standings.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
