Game Review
In a crucial La Liga encounter, Getafe secured a 2-0 victory over Real Betis, a result that might have surprised some given the pre-match expectations. The game, held on Sunday, 8 March 2026, saw Getafe take control early and maintain their advantage throughout. The first half was marked by Getafe's assertive play, which paid off in the 28th minute when Kiko Femenía found the back of the net, giving the home side a deserved lead. Just before the halftime whistle, Martín Satriano doubled Getafe's advantage, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Real Betis. This two-goal cushion allowed Getafe to dictate the pace of the game in the second half. Real Betis, despite making several substitutions, including the introduction of Diego Llorente, Cédric Bakambu, and Pablo Fornals, struggled to break down a resolute Getafe defense. The away side's inability to convert possession into meaningful chances was a significant factor in their defeat. Getafe's manager made strategic use of his substitutes, bringing on Allan-Romeo Nyom, Sebastián Boselli, Mario Martín, and Diego Rico to maintain the team's structure and energy levels. This tactical flexibility was crucial in securing the win. The victory for Getafe is a significant boost in their quest to climb the La Liga table, while Real Betis will need to regroup and address their attacking inefficiencies. This result could be a turning point for Getafe as they look to build momentum in the latter stages of the season.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
