The match was marked by a series of tactical battles and standout performances, particularly from Manchester City's Ruben Dias (GAP +8.7%) and Nottingham Forest's goalkeeper Matz Sels (GAP +1.1%). The game began with Manchester City taking the lead in the 31st minute through Antoine Semenyo (GAP +1.7%), who capitalized on a defensive lapse from Forest. However, Nottingham Forest responded in the second half with Morgan Gibbs-White (GAP +0.2%) equalizing in the 56th minute. The result was a testament to Forest's resilience, especially considering their position in the league and recent form. Both managers made two changes to their starting lineups. Manchester City brought in Phil Foden (GAP +5.6%) and Erling Haaland (GAP +5.1%), while Omar Marmoush and Nico O'Reilly were left out. Nottingham Forest's lineup saw Nicolás Domínguez and Jair Cunha come in, replacing Callum Hudson-Odoi and Omari Hutchinson. These changes were part of strategic rotations, with no specific reasons publicly disclosed for the exclusions. The draw leaves Manchester City in a challenging position as they aim to close the gap at the top of the table. For Nottingham Forest, the point gained is crucial in their fight to climb the standings, providing a morale boost as they continue to battle against the odds. Post-match reactions highlighted the competitive nature of the game, with both teams acknowledging the quality of their opponents. The result reflects the unpredictable nature of the Premier League, where even the strongest teams can be held to a draw by determined opposition.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
