Game Review
Juventus secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Genoa in their Serie A clash on Monday, 6 April 2026. The match, held during Gameweek 31, saw Juventus assert their dominance early on, with Bremer (GAP +4.3%) opening the scoring in the 4th minute. This early goal set the tone for the rest of the game, allowing Juventus to control proceedings against a Genoa side that struggled to find their rhythm. Weston McKennie (GAP +2.6%) doubled Juventus' lead in the 17th minute, capitalizing on a well-executed team move. His performance was pivotal, as he not only contributed to the scoreline but also provided a robust presence in midfield. Juventus' defensive solidity was highlighted by the performances of Mattia Perin (GAP +3.0%) and Pierre Kalulu (GAP +3.9%), who ensured that Genoa's attacking threats were effectively neutralized. Genoa, despite their efforts, could not break through Juventus' defense. Players like Aarón Martín (GAP -0.9%) and Lorenzo Colombo (GAP -2.2%) found it difficult to make a significant impact. The Genoa head coach made several substitutions, bringing in Patrizio Masini, Tommaso Baldanzi, Caleb Ekuban, and Jeff Ekhator Osayuki, but these changes did not alter the course of the match. Juventus made strategic substitutions as well, with Michele Gregorio, Arkadiusz Milik, Emil Holm, Fabio Miretti, and Jeremie Boga entering the fray. These changes helped maintain the team's momentum and secure the three points. This result keeps Juventus in a strong position as they continue their push for a top-four finish. For Genoa, the defeat is a setback in their quest to climb the Serie A table, as they need to regroup and address their tactical shortcomings. Overall, the match was a testament to Juventus' tactical discipline and ability to capitalize on early opportunities, setting them up well for the remaining fixtures of the season.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
