Game Review
In a closely contested Serie A match, Bologna edged out Cremonese with a 2-1 victory on Sunday, 5 April 2026. The result was somewhat expected given Bologna's recent form, having been unbeaten in their last three matches. Cremonese, on the other hand, struggled to find consistency, which was evident in their performance. The game started with a bang as Bologna took an early lead through João Mário in the 3rd minute. This early goal set the tone for Bologna, who looked to capitalize on their momentum. Jonathan Rowe (GAP -2.4%) doubled Bologna's advantage in the 16th minute, putting Cremonese on the back foot. Cremonese attempted to mount a comeback, and their efforts were rewarded in the 90th minute when Federico Bonazzoli (GAP -2.2%) found the back of the net. However, it was too little too late for the home side. The match was marred by disciplinary issues late on, with Youssef Maleh (GAP -1.7%) receiving a red card for Cremonese and Lewis Ferguson being sent off for Bologna. Tactically, Bologna's head coach made five substitutions, bringing in Riccardo Orsolini, Tommaso Pobega, Lewis Ferguson, Nadir Zortea, and Nicolò Cambiaghi to maintain their lead and manage the game effectively. Cremonese also made five changes, introducing Warren Bondo, Martín Payero, David Okereke, Morten Thorsby, and Romano Floriani Mussolini in an attempt to change the game's dynamics. Juan Miranda (GAP +3.3%) was a standout performer for Bologna, contributing significantly to their defensive solidity and helping to maintain their lead. Jhon Lucumí (GAP +2.5%) also played a crucial role in keeping Cremonese's attacks at bay. This victory sees Bologna solidify their mid-table position, while Cremonese remains in a precarious situation, needing to improve their form to avoid slipping further down the table. The result highlights Bologna's resilience and ability to secure points away from home, a trait that could prove vital as the season progresses.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
