About Us

We believe the individual impact of football players cannot be measured by vanity metrics like goals, passes, tackles won or possession. Real team players influence besides their own metrics especially their team members, their opponents and as a final output the game result directly and indirectly. This is what Football GAP is about.

Game Review

In a commanding Serie A performance, Como dismantled Pisa 5-0 on Sunday, 22 March 2026, in a match that showcased their attacking prowess and defensive solidity. This result was somewhat unexpected given the competitive nature of Serie A, but Como's execution on the day left no room for doubt. The match began with Como asserting their dominance early on. Assane Diao (GAP +0.2%) opened the scoring in the 7th minute, setting the tone for what would be a long afternoon for Pisa. Tasos Douvikas (GAP +1.3%) doubled the lead in the 29th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Pisa. The first half ended with Como firmly in control. Como continued their onslaught in the second half. Martin Baturina, who came on as a substitute, made an immediate impact by scoring in the 48th minute. This was followed by goals from Nico Paz (GAP +2.7%) in the 75th minute and Maximo Perrone (GAP +3.8%) in the 81st minute, sealing a comprehensive victory. From a tactical standpoint, Como's manager made effective use of his substitutes, with Baturina's introduction proving particularly fruitful. The home team made five changes, bringing in Edoardo Goldaniga, Álvaro Morata, Nicolas Kühn, Martin Baturina, and Maxence Caqueret, which added fresh legs and maintained their high tempo throughout the match. Pisa, on the other hand, struggled to find any rhythm. Despite making five substitutions themselves, including the introduction of Calvin Stengs and Samuel Iling-Junior, they were unable to stem the tide of Como's attacks. The defensive frailties were evident, with players like Simone Canestrelli (GAP -0.8%) and Samuele Angori (GAP -1.6%) unable to cope with Como's offensive pressure. This victory propels Como further up the Serie A table, enhancing their momentum as they look to secure a strong finish to the season. For Pisa, this heavy defeat is a setback, and they will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the standings. Post-match reactions highlighted Como's clinical finishing and tactical discipline, with fans and analysts alike praising their comprehensive display. The result serves as a reminder of Como's potential to challenge higher up the table if they maintain this level of performance.

What is GAP?

What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?

Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.

What is GAP?

GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
