Game Review
In a tightly contested Serie A match, Bologna edged past Pisa with a narrow 1-0 victory, courtesy of a late goal by Jens Odgaard. The match, held on Monday, 2 March 2026, saw Bologna secure three crucial points, a result that aligns with their recent form and pre-match expectations. The game was largely balanced, with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances. Bologna's goalkeeper, Lukasz Skorupski (GAP +3.1%), played a pivotal role in maintaining a clean sheet, showcasing his reliability between the posts. The decisive moment came in the 90th minute when substitute Jens Odgaard found the back of the net, capitalizing on a lapse in Pisa's defense. Pisa's lineup featured Antonio Caracciolo (GAP -1.6%) and Samuele Angori (GAP -3.2%), both of whom were unable to prevent the late strike despite their efforts. Bologna's defense, led by Jhon Lucumí (GAP +2.3%), remained resolute throughout the match, effectively neutralizing Pisa's attacking threats. The tactical battle saw Bologna make five changes during the match, introducing Riccardo Orsolini, Jens Odgaard, Nicolò Casale, Lorenzo De Silvestri, and Jonathan Rowe from the bench. Pisa also made five substitutions, bringing in Samuel Iling-Junior, Simone Canestrelli, Gabriele Piccinini, Filip Stojilković, and Juan Cuadrado to inject fresh energy into their lineup. This victory for Bologna consolidates their position in the mid-table, reflecting their steady form in recent weeks. Pisa, on the other hand, will need to regroup and address their attacking inefficiencies as they continue to hover near the lower half of the standings. Overall, Bologna's ability to secure a late win highlights their resilience and tactical discipline, while Pisa will be left to ponder what might have been had they managed to hold on for a draw.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
