Game Review
Atalanta delivered a commanding performance in their Serie A clash against Parma, securing a 4-0 victory that underscored their attacking prowess. This result was largely expected given Atalanta's superior form and league position compared to Parma, who have struggled this season. The match began with Atalanta asserting their dominance early on. Gianluca Scamacca (GAP +2.4%) opened the scoring in the 15th minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Marten de Roon (GAP +6.0%) doubled the lead in the 24th minute, capitalizing on Parma's defensive lapses. Despite Parma's attempts to regroup, they were unable to break through Atalanta's solid defense. In the second half, Atalanta continued to press their advantage. Giacomo Raspadori (GAP -3.3%) added a third goal in the 73rd minute, effectively sealing the win. The final blow came in the 90th minute when substitute Nikola Krstović found the net, rounding off a comprehensive victory for the home side. Tactically, Atalanta's manager made effective use of his substitutes, bringing in players like Ademola Lookman and Nikola Krstović, who contributed to maintaining the team's high tempo. Parma's head coach, on the other hand, made several changes, including introducing Gaetano Oristanio and Jacob Ondrejka, but these adjustments failed to alter the course of the match. Key players for Atalanta included Marco Carnesecchi (GAP +4.5%), who was solid in goal, and Giorgio Scalvini (GAP +4.2%), who marshaled the defense effectively. For Parma, Nahuell Estévez (GAP -1.8%) and Oliver Sørensen (GAP -2.3%) struggled to make an impact against Atalanta's relentless attack. This victory strengthens Atalanta's position in the Serie A standings, enhancing their momentum as they aim for a top-four finish. For Parma, the defeat highlights the challenges they face in climbing out of the lower half of the table. The result serves as a reminder of the gulf in class between the two sides, with Atalanta firmly in control throughout the encounter.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
