Game Review
In a thrilling Serie A encounter, Bologna edged out Hellas Verona with a 3-2 victory at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi. The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, with Bologna taking a commanding lead before Verona mounted a spirited comeback. This result was somewhat expected as Bologna came into the match with a stronger form, having secured crucial points in recent fixtures. The game kicked off with high intensity, and it was Bologna who struck first. Riccardo Orsolini (GAP +0.0%) opened the scoring in the 21st minute, setting the tone for the visitors. Just eight minutes later, Jens Odgaard (GAP +3.2%) doubled Bologna's advantage, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Verona. Santiago Castro (GAP +0.4%) added a third for Bologna just before halftime, seemingly putting the game out of reach for the hosts. However, Hellas Verona showed resilience in the second half. Gift Orban (GAP -1.4%) pulled one back in the 13th minute, giving the home fans a glimmer of hope. Remo Freuler (GAP +0.7%) further reduced the deficit in the 71st minute, but despite their efforts, Verona couldn't find the equalizer. Tactically, Bologna's manager made five changes to the lineup, introducing Giovanni Fabbian, Nikola Moro, Nadir Zortea, Lewis Ferguson, and Ciro Immobile from the bench. These substitutions were pivotal in maintaining their lead and managing the game effectively. On the other hand, Verona's manager opted for four substitutions, bringing in Tobias Slotsager, Giovane, Daniel Mosquera, and Roberto Gagliardini, in an attempt to inject fresh energy into the team. The standout performance from Emil Holm (GAP +3.8%) was crucial for Bologna, as his defensive contributions helped withstand Verona's late surge. Meanwhile, Verona's Lorenzo Montipò (GAP -3.5%) had a challenging evening, struggling to keep Bologna's attackers at bay. This victory propels Bologna further up the Serie A table, consolidating their position in the upper half and boosting their confidence for upcoming fixtures. For Hellas Verona, the defeat leaves them needing to regroup and address defensive frailties as they look to climb out of the lower echelons of the league standings.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
