Game Review
AC Milan secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Como in their Serie A clash on Thursday, 15 January 2026. The result was largely expected given Milan's superior form and squad depth, as they continue to push for a top position in the league. The match began with an early surprise as Marc-Oliver Kempf (GAP +3.0%) put Como ahead in the 10th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Milan. However, the visitors quickly regained control, with Christopher Nkunku (GAP -1.4%) leveling the score just before halftime in the 45th minute. In the second half, Milan's quality shone through. Adrien Rabiot (GAP +1.9%) was instrumental, scoring twice to seal the victory. His first goal came in the 55th minute, showcasing his ability to find space and finish clinically. Rabiot added his second in the 88th minute, ensuring Milan left with all three points. Tactically, Milan's manager made no changes to the starting lineup from their previous match, indicating confidence in his squad's current form. Como, on the other hand, also fielded a consistent lineup, but their efforts were not enough to overcome Milan's attacking prowess. Key players like Fikayo Tomori (GAP +5.4%) and Mike Maignan (GAP +3.5%) were pivotal in maintaining defensive stability, while Alexis Saelemaekers (GAP +4.6%) provided width and creativity on the flanks. This victory keeps AC Milan firmly in the hunt for the Serie A title, while Como will need to regroup and focus on their upcoming fixtures to climb the table. The result reflects Milan's strong form, as they have now secured multiple wins in their recent matches, reinforcing their status as title contenders.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
