Game Review
Levante and Girona played out a 1-1 draw in their La Liga clash on Saturday, a result that reflected the competitive nature of the match. Levante, playing at home, took the lead through Carlos Espí in the 50th minute, but Girona's persistence paid off as Joel Roca netted a late equalizer in the 90th minute. The match was a tale of two halves, with Levante initially gaining the upper hand. Carlos Espí's goal was a product of Levante's attacking intent, capitalizing on a well-executed move to break the deadlock. However, the game's dynamics shifted dramatically when Jon Ander Olasagasti received a red card in the 59th minute, leaving Levante to defend their lead with ten men. This numerical disadvantage eventually allowed Girona to press forward and find the equalizer through Joel Roca. In terms of individual performances, Matías Moreno (GAP +2.2%) stood out for Levante, contributing significantly to their defensive efforts, especially after the red card. For Girona, Arnau Martínez (GAP +0.9%) was instrumental in their comeback, providing stability and creativity from the back. Both teams made several changes to their lineups. Levante's manager opted for a fresh approach, bringing in Kervin Arriaga, Unai Vencedor, Etta Eyong, and Víctor García as substitutes. Girona's head coach also made tactical adjustments, introducing Abel Ruiz, Iván Martín, Azzedine Ounahi, Joel Roca, and Alejandro Francés to influence the game. This draw leaves Levante and Girona in a similar position in the league table, with both teams needing to find more consistency to climb higher. Levante will be particularly disappointed not to have secured all three points, especially after leading for a significant portion of the match. Meanwhile, Girona can take heart from their resilience and ability to capitalize on the extra man advantage. Looking ahead, both teams will need to address their respective issues—Levante's discipline and Girona's slow starts—to improve their standings in the coming fixtures.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
