Game Review
In a tightly contested Serie A encounter, Lecce and Lazio played out a goalless draw on Saturday, 24 January 2026. The result, while not entirely unexpected given both teams' recent form, highlighted the defensive solidity and tactical discipline on display from both sides. The match saw few clear-cut chances, with both teams struggling to break down well-organized defenses. Lazio's Ivan Provedel (GAP +3.0%) was particularly influential, ensuring his side maintained a clean sheet with several crucial saves. Meanwhile, Lecce's Wladimiro Falcone (GAP -0.9%) also played a pivotal role in denying Lazio any scoring opportunities. Lazio made five substitutions during the match, bringing in players like Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Luca Pellegrini to inject fresh energy into the team. Lecce, on the other hand, introduced Riccardo Sottil, Tete Morente, and Walid Cheddira in an attempt to find a breakthrough. Tactically, Lazio's Alessio Romagnoli (GAP +1.2%) and Mario Gila (GAP +2.9%) were standout performers in defense, effectively neutralizing Lecce's attacking threats. For Lecce, Lassana Coulibaly (GAP -1.0%) and Ylber Ramadani (GAP -0.9%) worked tirelessly in midfield to disrupt Lazio's rhythm. This draw leaves Lecce and Lazio in a similar position in the Serie A standings, with both teams needing to find more consistency to climb the table. Lecce will be looking to convert their defensive resilience into attacking prowess in future matches, while Lazio will aim to capitalize on their defensive strengths to secure more victories. Overall, the match was a testament to the tactical acumen of both teams, with neither side willing to concede ground easily. As the Serie A season progresses, both teams will need to find ways to turn such draws into wins to improve their league positions.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
